Welcome to the membership page of the Academy Estates East Neighborhood Association (AEENA)! From here, you can renew your current membership, join as a new member, or make an on-line donation using PayPal. Dues are not required to become a member or to vote –but you do need to sign up each year. We are currently in the membership period 9/1/2026 through 8/31/2027. To become a voting member of AEENA, you need to live within the neighborhood boundaries: go to the “About Us” tab, then scroll down to “Boundaries” to find a written description and a map.
To renew your current membership or to join as a new member, please complete the on-line form below once each year for each address. Each adult (over 18) member of your household is eligible for membership – please include the names of all who wish to become members. We ask for your address so we can confirm you live within AEENA’s boundaries, and we ask for your email address so that we can contact you about neighborhood happenings. We request phone numbers in case we need to contact you, but those are not required. Please note that we do not share your contact information with any entity outside of AEENA.
Under the City of Albuquerque ordinances governing neighborhood associations, dues or donations are not required for membership. However, we do ask that you consider making a donation to support AEENA’s activities. A minimum donation of $5.00 per adult (over 18) member of your household is recommended. For home businesses a donation of $35 is recommended. AEENA is recognized as a tax-exempt public charity under IRC Section 501(c)(3) so that donations are tax deductible as allowed under IRC Section 170. You can make a donation online using the link to PayPal below, or by cash or check through the mail (make checks payable to AEENA, please contact us at aeenanm505@gmail.com for a mailing address). All donations are greatly appreciated!
Your donations allow us to: organize activities (like National Night Out); distribute newsletters and crime watch information; hand out welcome packets to new neighbors; recognize first-responders; make charitable donations; and represent our neighborhood on issues that impact us all.
